Cosmic Laws of Success

Success Has Different Meaning

Our society seems to equate having a large financial portfolio, a big bank account, properties and a large estate with success, but accomplishing one’s aim depends on purpose. If a person’s goal is to take a mate to bed the words of George Harrison might be appropriate. He sang,

I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
But it’s gonna take money
A whole lot of spending money
It’s gonna take plenty of money
To do it right, child . . .

Happiness is a Determiner of Success

Whatever a person’s aim if they end up being unhappy, then what’s the use? Existence is futile if you can’t find happiness. If your mind is troubled and you can’t find peace, if you worry and fret over your fortune and have trouble with everything and everybody, you’ve lost your treasure.

Paramahansa Yogananda lived from 1917 to 1977. He established the Self-Realization Fellowship and became a well-know author with Autobiography of a Yogi. In a small tract, The Laws of Success, he writes,

“By the power of concentration and meditation you can direct the inexhaustible power of your mind to accomplish what you desire and to guard every door against failure. All successful men and women devote much time to deep concentration. They are able to dive deeply within their minds and to find the pearls of right solutions for the problems that confront them. If you learn how to withdraw your attention from all objects of distraction and to place it upon one object of concentration, you too will know how to attract at will whatever you want.”

Everyone and Everything Loves Attention

Attention deficit disorder is a disease of the information age. The Center for Disease Control estimates that at least 4% of adults have it and 10% of children are afflicted. Cats. Dogs, the kids, a buzzing fly, and the dirty dishes want it from you; then the bills and paper work. There is always something  asking for attention, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, some show you can’t miss and something that “has to be done.”

If you don’t have one already, make a place in your living space that is a sacred quiet place where you can set aside a small amount of time to relax and focus. Withdraw attention and go inward. Allow both your physical being and your mind to relax. Place your thoughts upon your happiness. Feel what that would be like . . .

Success is yours. The cosmic laws of the Universe support you. If you’d like more information, get one of our e-books.

Getting Deep Sleep

A Lot of People Have Sleep Problems.

During the night we rest, rejuvenate and heal, but a lot of people either can’t sleep or have terrible sleep. This gets worse as we age.  Twenty seven  percent of people in a new Consumer Reports survey of 4,023 U.S. adults said they had trouble falling asleep or staying asleep most nights, and 68 percent—or an estimated 164 million Americans—struggle with sleep.

Some Remedies

A few things one can do to help sleep is to reinforce your circadian cycle by developing a life rhythm. This is done by establishing a certain time to go to sleep and awaken. Also, a quiet and dark room really helps. A small amount of the hormone Melatonin may also benefit.

Deep Sleep is Necessary.

REM is a stage of sleep before deep sleep. REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement. There’s a debate right now. Some medical professionals say REM is an early stage before deep sleep and some say a late stage right before deep sleep. All agree rapid eye movement is a stage that comes before deep sleep.

Everyone’s Environment is Polluted

Our lives today are filled with eye strain, blue light, toxins, dust and polluted air. There’s not much a person can do, yet at night there may be an easy solution.  Here’s a tip to get deeper sleep. Since our eyes move back and forth before deep sleep, this simple tip will help. It’s an obvious solution to getting better sleep.

Before going to sleep at night, use a few drops of eye wash in each eye.

Give it a try.

Are You Impeccable?

Impeccable People

Chickens peck a lot, but they’re not exactly impeccable. The word “impeccable” describes something or someone without any flaws who has extremely high standards especially for themselves. Some times these people don’t have many friends because to a perfectionist others seems crude, flawed, and disorganized.

Being Impeccable can also be a Benefit.

Certainly is a lot easier to get things done when you know where your tools are and you can find them. When paperwork is in the right files, this speeds production. When every thing is flowing, working great, one can be on top of the world. But what do you do when it’s not going exactly right?

OKR or Objectives and Key Results is a framework for defining and tracking objectives and their outcomes. The development of OKRs is generally attributed to Andy Grove the “Father of OKRs”, who introduced the approach to Intel during his tenure there and documented this in his 1983 book High Output Management. Wikipedia

OKR can keep you on the right track

It defines what you seek to achieve. Results come from how these top priority goals will be obtained with specific measurable actions within a set time frame. What’s important is to keep the “main thing” the main thing.

Ask these questions:
  1. What’s the point?
  2. What’s the goal?
  3. What’s the future look like?
  4. Who do you and your associates want to become?

In his new book, Measure What Matters, Grove stresses you must “. . . crystallize your objective. Break that down into key results. . . . take your goals, your objectives, and break them down into measurable metrics when achieved add up to that objective.”

Sit down with pen and paper or use the keyboard, right now, and write down “How do I generate what I want or need?” Then ask yourself,  “What measure will I use to know I’ve achieve it.” Finally, “How do I understand what’s going on with me, my situation, my life?

Grove points out his strategy: “Don’t focus on or study the faults, the poverty, focus on how do you generate what you want.”

Develop Concentration

How do you open the door?

Deep Concentration Opens the Door

In deep concentration your mind becomes attuned with the infinite and contacts your higher mind linked to  cosmic intelligence. In deep concentration you become linked with the great creative
spirit of the universe, and the creative energy then flows
through you, vitalizing your creations into form.s.

Full of it!

You become so full of the cosmic energy that you are literally
flooded with divine power. This is a most desired state. It is
then we realize the advantages of being connected with the
supra-consciousness. The supra-consciousness registers the higher
cosmic vibrations.

Not 5-G

The Cosmic Intelligence is often referred to as the wireless
station, the message recorded coming from the Universal Mind. In deep concentration contact your higher mind, then  you’re ready to proceed.

Cosmic Garden in Your Head

Remember that the first step in concentration is to form a Mental
Image of what you wish to accomplish. This image becomes a
thought-seed that attracts thoughts of a similar nature. Around
this thought, when it is once planted in the imagination or
creative region of the mind, you group or build associated
thoughts which continue to grow as long as your desire is keen
enough to compel focused concentration.

Think how quiet and relaxed you are. Just think of yourself as getting ready to receive knowledge that is far greater than you have ever received before. Now relax and let the spirit work in and through you and assist you to accomplish what you wish.

Can We See into and Change the Future?

Humans Are Multi-Dimensional

There’s no doubt about this, not even a shadow of a doubt. If any doubt does exist it’s because the person considering it is sitting in that shadow and in Plato’s cave seeing only only reflections projected on a wall. They are refusing to look at human history as provided by literary works throughout recorded time. From the oracles of Delphi to the proponents of modern main-street media including YouTube pundits and homeless street dwellers talking to themselves, human beings predict and step into the mess that they have created by such predictions.

Picture of Neville Goddard
Neville Goddard

Neville Goddard, in Out of this World,    writes

Many persons, myself included, have observed events before they occurred; that is, before they occurred in this world of three dimensions. Since man can observe an event before it occurs in the three dimensions of space, life on earth must proceed according to plan, and this plan must exist else-where in another dimension and be slowly moving through our space. If the occurring events were not in this world when they were observed, then, to be perfectly logical, they must have been out of this world. And whatever is there to be seen before it occurs here must be “Predetermined” from the point of view of man awake in a three-dimensional world. Thus the question arises:”

Are we able to alter our future?

Robert Monroe created the Monroe Institute to explore human consciousness.  They provide proven techniques to leave the body; that is, to have verifiable out of body experiences.

picture of joseph McMoneagle
Joseph McConeagle

One of the participants, Joseph McMoneagle writes in his book, Mind Trek,  Exploring Consciousness, Time and Space Through Remote Viewing:

“Think of your mind as a neatly fenced in backyard. The limits or the reach of you imagination is dependent upon how far out you allow those fences to stretch.”

As per his actual experiences in remote viewing, he goes on to say,

“Simply put, I think that I am sending myself information from the future. In other words, at some point in the future I will come to know the answer to whatever question has been put to me in the past. Therefore, whenever the information is passed to me in its accurate form, that is whenever the information is passed to me in its accurate form, that is when I send it back to myself in the past.”

Say What?!

Maybe we can remote view lottery numbers?

He’s saying sometime in the future he’s sending information back to himself in the past. And you can do this right now.:

If there has every been an incident in the past which is still troubling you today. Say,  you said something or did a wrong, or would have done something a little different if you knew what you knew today, then send the correct information back to yourself.

See a younger you at a stage of your life that affected you right now. Send love, or re-assurance or see yourself doing  better or saying more helpful words; right now,  go back and correct whatever is causing your attachment in the here and now . . .  Forgive, make it better, and simply release it; let it go.  Also, be receptive to you in the future reaching back to you right now. What are you telling yourself?

Life Needs Rhythm

Rock and Roll Star Bob Segar
Young Bob Seger

1,2,3.4 . . .

The drummer and the base hit the rhythm and a long-hair singer steps to the mic.

“So you’re a little bit older
And a lot less bolder than you used to be
So you used to shake ’em down
But now you stop and think about your dignity
So now sweet sixteen’s turned thirty-one
You get to feelin’ weary when the work day’s done
Well all you got to do is get up and into your kicks
If you’re in a fix
Come back baby, rock and roll never forgets”

A life of Rhythm is Harmony

The most important quality a person can develop is to be in harmony with themselves and their world. This is accomplished by establishing a good sleep and working day-to-day pattern, and appreciating one’s world.

picture of Hazrat Khan
A Young Hazrat Inayat Khan

In The Sufi Teaching of Hazrat Inayat Khan, he writes

“It must be understood that rhythm is the balance of speech and action. One must speak at the right time, otherwise silence is better than speech. A word of sympathy with the grief of another, and a smile at least when another laughs. One should watch the opportunity for moving a subject in society, and never abruptly change the subject of conversation, but skillfully blend two subjects with a harmonious link. Also one should wait patiently while another speaks, and keep a rein on one’s speech when the thought rushes out uncontrollably, in order to keep it in rhythm and under control during its outlet. One should emphasize the important words with a consideration of strong and weak accent. It is necessary to choose the right word and mode of expression, to regulate the speed and to know how to keep the rhythm. Some people beginning to speak slowly and gradually increase the speed to such an extent that they are unable to speak coherently. “

What’s your rhythm?

Are you pounding out a staccato one eighth beats, jamming around town or are you doing a three-four waltz on a lazy river cruise? Is it time to rest or get up because you’re in a fix?

Sit with yourself for a moment and consider your life as a video. Watch the rhythm. Change the speed at which it plays. Slow it down or speed it up. Now, step into that, get out of the fix and get your kicks.

Conscious Eating

Big Food Plans It.

Engineered Food

What’s really in your food and water? The chips, packaged sweets, and condiments we eat are engineered foods that have a combination of sugar, salt, fat and other ingredients that fill us up but never leave us feeling satisfied. They ad weight to our bodies, ruin our digestion, and clog our systems but don’t nourish us,.

An Old Chinese Maxim Tells It All:

“We dig our graves with our knife and fork.”

Another good one from Gestalt psychology,

If your food tastes like straw, your life is probably just as dull.”

One of the friends of this blog, Human Growth Exercises, let’s call him Dr. Douglas Digg. (not his real name), sent us this comment.

Doug Digg writes:

“I used to eat the regular fare from the store. You know, ground meat, potato salad from the deli, sometimes ice berg lettuce and some canned stuff. Then I visited the local organic garden and got the bug. At first, I started growing veggies in pots, then the disease really got hold of me and I tore out the lawn and planted raised beds. I have so much more energy now, the food tastes . . . well, I don’t have a word, maybe “real.” And you know what, it lasts 3 or 4 times longer in the refer. That is, what’s left over. Most of the time we eat right out of the garden.

Conscious eating is where you sit down and eat, and that’s all you do. You don’t watch TV or the computer or talk on your phone. You eat and because mastication is the first step in digestion, you become a kid again with your little train, and “Chew, chew, chew, chew.”

Okay, you don’t have to say that, but you do masticate your food.

Today, during one meal, sit with what you’re eating and as you chew it,  pay strict attention to it. Think about where it came from. Was it processed and shipped or grown locally? How many days has it been since it was alive? What was the place like where it was raised? Was it prepared by someone who cared about it, who thought about you, the consumer, someone who cared about you?

Here’s a wonderful book about conscious eating. Get it.

Secret of the Golden Flower

Golden Flower

Why Aren’t Secrets Just Exposed?

When a person begins to investigate the various forms of the World’s knowledge base, they soon discover esoteric thought. Now, the word ‘esoteric’ means ‘within a group.’ These groups are tightly closed to outsiders. There are various reasons for this. For instance, if you were involved in a flower design group, you might not want a bunch of rugby bounders coming in and fooling around with your flowers.

Secret Knowledge is Protected

But in truth, there are no secrets. If you look hard enough, and are willing to pay the price of humbling yourself before the ‘Master,’ or a guru, you may find truth. You may also find it in a book. Or you may never even find the trail-head and be forced to forge your own trail through the wilderness. But if you keep going you’re bound to arrive at your destination, . . . your destiny.

The Secret of the Golden Flower

Is the opening of your third eye to the light of consciousness. Here’s what C.G. Jung writes in the introduction of writer Richard Wilhelm’s translation of The Chinese Book of Life ( The Secret of the Golden Flower.) Jung writes:

“One looks with both eyes at the tip of the nose, sit upright and in a comfortable position, and holds the heart to the center in the midst of conditions. In Taoism it is called the yellow middle, in Buddhism the center in the midst of conditions. The two are the same. It does not necessarily mean the middle of the head. It is only a matter of fixing one’s thinking on the point which lies exactly between the two eyes. Then all is well. The light is something extremely mobile. When one fixes the thought on the mid-point between the two eyes, the light streams in of its own accord. It is not necessary to direct the attention especially to the central castle. In these few words the most important thing is contained.”

Begin your meditation without a goal in mind. Close your eyes and focus them on the center between the eyes. Relax and maintain that focus without tension. Count your breath. Release. Allow the golden light to fill your being.

You Can Use Your Magnetic Center

You’re a wonderful person.

You are unique and have special qualities that no one else does. You deserve to have a life filled with love, freedom, joy and abundance. Our purpose is to show you how to get these.

You can manifest this easily

and simply if you understand and put into practice what’s contained here. What I learned while researching manifestation was that within every person, hidden behind the mask they wear as a wife, husband, working person, mother, father, son and daughter is a power essence.

Power Essence

It is concentrated love.

Realize you have this center within you, then in all your dealings with others–harmonize and vibrate with their internal center—their essence. When you understand and access your center, you become polarized in a life filled with love, joy, freedom and abundance.

People are drawn to you.

They cooperate with you. They want to help you because their essence, their essence of love, is activated around you. When people are around you, you act like a tuning fork. Your vibration awakens their magnetic center.

How to Stop Worrying

Bob Marley sang

Here’s a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don’t worry, be happy
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it double
Don’t worry, be happy
Don’t worry, be happy now

But we cry like little babies.

Why worry?

In The Psychological Commentaries on the Teaching of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky (whew!) 1800 pages . . . Author Maurice Nicoll writes:

“Worrying is the wrong use of centers. It is always useless. It is a form of inner considering–i.e. of identifying. It is a continual mixing up of negative imagination with a few facts and so makes only wrong connections in centers. It is a sort of lying, among the many other kinds of lying that go on in us and mess up the centers. It is always easy to worry, as it gives relief and is, as it were a form of justifying oneself. It is close to self-pity and violence. Worrying is not thinking.”

Psychologist William James said, “. . . much of what we call Evil . . . can often be converted into a bracing and tonic good by a simple change of the sufferer’s inner attitude from one of fear to one of fight.”

Today fight for your happiness. Tell yourself, just for today I will be happy. Just for today, I will take care of my body. Just for today, I will strengthen my mind. Just for today, I will live through this day only and not try and figure out my whole life problems at once.

One of the best little books on how to stop worrying comes from Dale Carnegie: How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.
